All our shipments come with a health certificate for each farm. We are dedicated to bring you fantastic quality Koi and tategoi all year round. Also we search high and low to bring you rare and unusual varieties through our hard work and contacts in Japan.

All our Koi are rested and quarantined prior to sale.
Our first shipment of spring tosai will be ready for sale at the end of March with regular shipments throughout the season.

May Visit To Japan
Koi havesting

Adrian will be returning to Japan in May to select the last cut of tosai before they are selected for the mud ponds. Most of our Go Sanke come from T Sakai in Isawa simply because they are fantastic, coming from the Matsunosuke blood line the (red) Sumi (black) on a wonderful white skin and potential growth cannot be matched.

You can contact Adrian for any specific or special koi that he can find for you in Japan with no obligation to purchase, and you receive first refusal when it arrives back in the UK. To talk about your specific requirements for that special koi email Adrian.

Our New Showroom

Even though most customers have been notified, we have relocated to our new showroom and are no longer at Three Legged Cross, but are back in the centre of Bournemouth. Due to the relocation to our new showroom we have been rebuilding our stock levels over the last few months, quality will be as good, but stocking levels will be lower as Koi health is more important whilst our systems fully mature.

Hope to see you all soon customers new and old! Have a Fantastic year!!!

The Breeders We Use

Toshio Sakai.
Toshio SakaiMany things have been said about this man, The Master. The Teacher famous for creating the MATSUNOSUKE blood line which probably accounts for 70% of all Sankes produced today. But he is one of my favourite breeders of all that I visit. Always having time for tea and chat (even when time is short. He is always striving to produce the perfect Koi and that is why I try to stock mainly his Go Sanke having the most beautiful lustre and depth of colour of any Koi.  His Koi, winning the all Japan championship, UK BKKS, South African National Championship, many USA Champions, I believe the best Go Sanke breeder in the world and a great man.

Aoki
Always working to create new varieties. Aoki San is the father of the Kikokuriyu (15 years ago) and now the Kirokikokuriyu (yellow and metallic). He also breeds fantastic quality D/Kohaku and some of the best Kikusui in Japan. He has new facilities which I am looking forward to see when I go over to Japan this season.

Chogoro
World famous for Purachina and Ginrin Purachina. His son has taken over the Farm as Chogoro San sadly passed away in 2005. As well as Purachina he is breeding Kikokuryu with a Heseinishiki blood which a unusual Kikokuryu with attractive colours.

DainachiDainachi
One of the most respected Breeders of Go Sanke in the world. Fantastic body shape with a very thick body just before the tail of the Dainichi fish. They tend to develop their colour late, so more popular with the specialist hobbist. Dainichi Showa are one of my favourite fish but tend to be expensive.

Hirasawa seitaro
The second biggest farm in Japan with over 250 mud ponds I tend only to buy larger specimens from hirasawa.

Hoshikin
In the Koi world everyone knows the Dainichi Kohaku a famous and recognised type breeder of  Koi. While not as well known, the Hoshikin Kohaku is considered by many to be on a par produces some wonderful Go sanke.

HosokaiHosokai
A very famous name in the koi world. Produces many Show winning Asagi he also has a name for producing Showa with the bloodline producing very thick sumi. Also produces other varieties.

ISA Hajime
Was the chairman of the Shinkokai Niigata Chapter until 2006. He used to breed shusui but has now focused on Go Sanke. Having great Showa but along with his son also beautiful Kujaku.

Miyatora
Produces a good mix but great Ginrin Go Sanke from Tosai to Jumbo tend to be strong fish with a great snowy white skin.
